Board and Train

  • Please note that our Board and Train program is offered only on a case by case basis. Your dog and family must meet specific criteria that you can discuss with our head trainer during an initial consult.

  • An initial consult is required prior to beginning any training program. In a 90-minute initial consult, we will review and prioritize your goals, answer your questions and get everyone started off on the right foot… or paw.

How do I know if Board and Train is right for us?

Board n’ Train is a good option for learning :

  • Polite greetings

  • Leash manners

  • Counter Surfing

  • Coming when called

  • Reactivity on leash/around barriers

  • Responsiveness around distractions

  • Appropriate boundaries around food/toys (Leave It, Drop it, etc)

  • and more!

Board n’ Train may not be the best option for families looking to resolve issues such as :

  • Multiple bite histories level 4 and above

  • Relationship Building/Boundary Setting with family members

  • Separation Anxiety

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10-12 day stay, families must participate in the training on ‘off days‘ and provide examples of practicing homework in order to be eligible for Board and Train Graduation Perks.

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to hold dates for B+T

  • Recommendation from head trainer

  • 3-day boarding trial - $95/day

Pricing Examples: (pricing may vary depending on each case’s specific needs)

  • 20+ day Board and Train: $5,000+

  • 30+ day Board and Train: $6,500+

How does Board and Train work?

Your dog will either participate in a Full Time or Part Time boarding program. Both Full and Part Time Programs are priced per day and include the same Graduation Perks. The only difference being whether the dogs stay for their boarding continuously, or if they go home to you over the weekends to start proofing behaviors at home.

Dogs are only eligible for the type of program that trainer recommends dependent on their specific training goals and comfort learning in new environments.

During Training:

In Both Programs:

  • Each day your dog will participate in several training sessions with multiple handlers to teach and proof their new skills.

  • On days off, your dog will be back home with you completing homework and contextualizing what they’ve been learning during the week

  • Your dogs training program will be updated daily to reflect their pace and comfort

  • You’ll receive update videos and Pawgress Report Cards to help you follow along with your dogs training journey and see how to implement their new routines at home

  • A personalized and detailed Enrichment Plan and Chart for your dog to follow moving forward in an effort to ensure all of their needs are regularly met moving forward and that the transition back home is smooth

In a Part Time Program you will be signed up for a 5 days on/2 days off schedule.

 

After Training:

  • You’ll keep the momentum up and continue contextualizing the training your dog has learned once they’re back home

  • 2 Follow up Private Lessons included at your home or virtually to make sure you understand and successfully implement training at home. (One at drop off, one scheduled at a later date)

  • Lifetime Email + Text support

  • 15-minute check-in calls as needed (must be scheduled)

    Board and Train Graduation Perks:
    (    available for up to 2 months after B+T concludes)

  • 2 months of membership access

  • 3 group training walks
    (no cost for any board and train graduates and parents who follow through with post-boarding homework)

  • Five Check In Calls (15-30 minutes each)
